Training Tools

In this section I will introduce you to the different tools and accessories I use to train my dogs. These tools can be really helpful however you are not required to buy them to train your dog. You can mark with “Yes” instead of buying a clicker. My point here is these tools are not crucial, plus my 3 dogs don’t react the same way to each one of them, I would say it’s more like if you feel like you are hitting the wall with what you have sometimes it can reshape the training by introducing a new tool.

One very unexpensive tool that is a must when you want to start training your dog!
This one is a set of 2 but it’s always nice to have a backup!

Prong Pinch Collar

That collar is very powerful and you will have so much leverage on your dog’s neck with it that you have to be very careful. The collar by its design will shorten (pinch) as the dog pulls and the prongs will create a high discomfort. This is why the dog stops pulling.

Garmin E Collar

Apparently the Delta XC is not available anymore but this one is similar even on the price. You have an extra button for the barking. These are very well built and can handle abuses and tough/rough conditions

PatPet E Collar Military

Leo and Chester have the Garmin Delta Sport and I love them. For Pumpkin I wanted to give a shot to Patpet and see how they are. They are cheaper and range is great. I love how easy it is to access the vibration mode. You don’t have to wonder where the button is. That something I really like compare to the Garmin.

Training Pouch

I sometimes use this one when we go on a hike or on a walk as I can carry more things. You can clip it to your belt or using the strap. It's bigger than the other pouch and there is a poop bag dispenser. I like it.
