As a dog owner I think one of the most important command is the recall. A reliable recall can be a matter of life or death.
For this reason I taught and practice as often as possible the recall. The thing is this doesn’t take a lot to teach the basics. The most important thing is to practice it. But don’t worry, you can do it at home in your backyard. Or even if you live in an apartment from one room to another. It is very easy because it refers to the Pavlov experiment. The dog must associate your recall cue with an amazing reward. As soon as he’ll get that you will have that great reliable recall.
In this video we did two sessions only between the introduction to the concept as we were under the tree and later in the afternoon as she’s playing with that same branch you saw on the video. Again use great treats like red meat, or ham, or even cheese.
