Dog With Arthritis

I was quite worried that one day I would have to face it and this day arrived with Leo… I am talking about arthritis.

Though I was quite sad and bummed down a lot the only thing you can do as a dog owner and their best friend is to do everything you can to improve their life.
In this video I will explain my approach. For a little backstory, I’ve been sold to the holistic approach when I was 18 yo. After a motorcycle accident and an arm surgery that went sideways I almost lost the control of my hand and arm. Months of physiotherapy and hours with Tens machine didn’t do much. After 6 months of 3 sessions of 1 hour a week my hand was still mostly unresponsive and I was able to extend my arm only to a 120 degrees.

The silver lining occurred because going on vacation for 2 weeks on the French Riviera my physiotherapist stressed me to keep going with my rehabilitation. Yellow pages (it was in 2001…) provided us the address of a physiotherapist who asked me to lay down on a table and massaged me from the top of my head to my hand. 2 sessions of 20min happened to make me extend my arm 180degrees and I started to recover my hand sensations and mobility the few weeks following this.
I also quit smoking after 1 session of acupuncture…So it works…

This is why after Leo got diagnosed and prescribed an anti-inflammatory drug I decided to follow that path. And so far I am so happy we did.
