When I started to read about teaching your dog to go down or sit, I noticed that there were 2 schools of how to teach it. Not in the way you lure the dog in the position but on the consequences of that command.

Let me explain, some trainers lure your dog into position and then asked them to remain in that position using the “Stay” command.

The other way (the way I use) is when you give these commands either down or sit the “Stay” is implied.
