Banana Oatmeals Peanut Butter Bites

As I go through quite a few treats with my 4 dogs I was looking for recipes to make healthy and natural treats that wouldn’t hurt my wallet. I found this recipe and I love it.

– 2 cups oats (old fashioned, 1-minute oats, or instant)plus more if needed- see step
– 2 medium ripe bananas
– 1/2 cup natural peanut butter  BE CAREFUL only 2 ingredients peanut butter. Peanuts and salt! Absolutely no Xylitol or Birch Sugar.

Putt the oats in a blender and turn them into a flour.  Mash the bananas in a plate. In a bowl pour the oats flour you just made with the mashed bananas and the peanuts butter. Mix it very well. As the ingredients are  at room temperature don’t try to roll that dough. Put it in the fridge for about 15min. It will be less sticky and easier to roll it.

Preheat your oven to 300F (150C).

After 15min place the dough on a sheet of parchment paper and start rolling it when you get the dough flat about 1/8 or an in use a pizza cutter and cut into long strips about 1/2 wide. Then cut accross to obtain sqauers or rectangle (it’s up to you). You don’t have to cut all the way through. Put on a tray in the oven for about 25-30min.  After that take the tray out and let the whole thing cool down. You can snap them and then store them in a air tight container for about a week. Make sure they are not too moist or else they can mold.

They should be slightly soft
